Mr. Heusinkveld brings finance experience
in the areas of Marketing, Business, and
Insurance. In business at the same location
for 20 years, The Heusinkveld Group provides
products and services for specialty insurance
programs and plans that service the southeast
region. He received his bachelor degree
in Business Administration for Finance
from Southern Methodist University.
John has 3 children and an active member in the community. He serves as board member to the Hebron Community Alliance and as an officer of the AMBUCS Civic Club. John is also a current youth coach and former high school coach.
Mr. Sutherland, an attorney and counselor at law in private practice, is involved in the areas of Tax and Estate Planning, Residential and Commercial Real Estate, and Probate. He also has extensive experience in commercial banking and lending.
Mr. Sutherland is a member of the State
Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association,
and Denton County Bar Association. He
received his law degree from the University
of Houston in 1979, and his bachelor
degree in Business Administration from
the University of North Texas in 1974.
Kurt L. Smith began his career in 1986 in tax-free municipal bonds with MBank Capital Markets. Thereafter he joined Barre & Company where his bond experience expanded to include collaterized mortgage obligations (CMO's) and corporate bonds including lower-rated junk bonds.
Mr. Smith joined Southwest Securities in 1990 to develop The Tax-Free Approach™ to building and maintaining wealth. He founded The Select Group at Southwest Securities in 1997 to leverage technology and relationships to provide a higher level of service to his clients.
His focus on the bond markets led to the development of The Tax-Free Cash Investment Program™ and The Tax-Free Growth Program™ to bring additional opportunities to his clients. For several years now, he has also taught continuing education courses about bonds at Southern Methodist University.
